The
message was sent by Irma Gonzalez, Rene Gonzalez’ daughter, one of
the five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters, who are known as the Cuban
Five by the international campaign for their freedom, reported
Juventud Rebelde newspaper today.
In statements to the public TV network SABC broadcast on national
news program, Irma also passed on a congratulations message from the
UJC to the National African Congress on its 98th anniversary.
On related news, Granma reported that South Africa’s President Jacob
Zuma said that his Party reaffirmed its commitment to continue
fighting for the release of the Cuban Five during a meeting to mark
the date.
