Minh Triet was welcomed at the Jose Marti International Airport by the Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz.

During his stay in the Caribbean archipelago, the leader of the Asian sister nation will hold official talks with Raul and he will be decorated with the ‘Jose Marti’ Order, the highest distinction granted by the Cuban Council of State.

The Vietnamese head of state will also participate in a Cuba-Viet Nam Forum of Business Opportunities and in the signing of several bilateral cooperation agreements.

Minh Triet’s agenda includes a meeting with the President of the Cuban National Assembly (Parliament), Ricardo Alarcon. He will also pay tribute to Cuban National Hero Jose Marti and to Ho Chi Minh, the father of Viet Nam’s independence.
