The last song, “El Chan chan”, a tribute to late Compay Segundo, one of the members of the Grammy winning project Buena Vista Social Club, was sang by the 15 artists that participated in this mega-concert. They were joined by the crowd and improvised lyrics that gave even more color to the event.

Puerto Rican Olga Tañon and Colombian Juanes reiterated their acknowledgements to Cuba for this opportunity and asked for peace for the whole world.

For over 5 hours, and despite the high temperatures, the public enjoyed and participated in the concert, while via satellite the rest of the world could watch the concert.
