The demonstration was held on the occasion of the Global Day of Action for Honduras proclaimed by the Via Campesina world organization, which promoted an international demonstration in support of Honduran resistance.

An Initiative for Honduras Group, recently founded in the southern city of Munich, published a call in support of the people of that Middle American nation, the Prensa Latina news agency reports.

A communiqué spread via e-mail affirms that the Honduran coup perpetrators are trying to turn Latin America into the US backyard.

The initiative calls on people to transfer money to the Via Campesina bank account, in order to support the organizations making up the Front of Resistance against the Coup in Honduras.
