Eduardo Martin, manager of the Villa Clara team and one of the coaches of the pre-selection, praised the excellent organization of the rally and said that Raul’s words were moving and accurate.

“He was very clear regarding the efforts of our people to recover from the damage caused by the hurricanes and also about what is happening in Cuba and the world,” he said.

“It is our duty to participate in this event to show our support of our cause and our leaders,” added Maikel Folch, a left-handed pitcher from Ciego de Avila province.

Meanwhile, Leonis Martin, who participated in the 2nd World Baseball Classic earlier this year, congratulated the people of Holguin and urged them to continue working.

“It was extraordinary. I’m impressed by what I have seen here in Holguin,” Martin said.
