The will of developing the summer
projects with coherence and the integration of everyone marks
the effort, precisely when the Cuban people pay tribute to the
women and men who undertook the historic revolutionary action of
July 26, 1953, and the victorious Revolution that has made so
many dreams come true over the past 50 years, said leaders with
the Young Communist League.
An example of local activities in
Havana is the cultural and recreational project underway along
the popular 23rd avenue in the Vedado municipality, which opened
last weekend with the sale of books and other cultural actions.
The initiative has been supported by local authorities, the
Culture Ministry and the Cuban Sports Movement, said Youth
leader Osnay Miguel Colina.
Colina explained both 23rd Avenue
and the renowned Malecon on the city’s seafront drive are the
scenarios of many activities and offers for all citizens,
including concerts by popular music bands at the Jose Marti
International Tribune.
There are many other localities in
Havana hosting celebrations and activities that guarantee
healthy recreation every weekend during summer holidays.
