Cuban Education Collaborators Returned from Honduras
HAVANA, Cuba, July 11 (acn) The last group of Cuban education workers, who were in Honduras on an internationalist Literacy mission, returned to Cuba on Friday after the de facto government of Roberto Michelleti forced the interruption of their teaching work.

The educators arrived here 24 hours after the return of a first group of teachers from the Central American nation, said the director of foreign relations with the Education Ministry Victoria Arencibia Sosa, who pointed out that education authorities in Cuba maintained permanent communication with the workers even in the country´s most difficult moments.

Ramon Lamoru, member of the group said that what happened is a mere break for their noble struggle against illiteracy, while Ariel Diaz, sports collaborator, explained about the tense situation they experienced during their withdrawal, with some of their comrades stopped at different border crossings.

The welcoming ceremony for the educators was attended by deputy minister of Education Rolando Forneiro and deputy Foreign Trade and Investment minister Orlando Requeijo Gual, as well as by the first vice president of the Cuban Sports Institute, Roberto Leon Richard.
