The resolution of the European
Parliament against the island was condemned in a forum held in
the locality of Alpiarca, in Portugal, with the presence, among
others, of Octavio Augusto, member of the Political Commission
of that country’s Central Committee of the Communist Party, the
Granma newspaper reports.
Participants in the meeting said
that the hostile policy maintained by the United States and its
allies inside and outside Cuba continues in the Old Continent
This activity on the part of
Europe was also condemned in the Final Declaration of the 5th
Meeting of Solidarity-with-Cuba Organizations in Asia and
Oceania, held in Vientiane, Laos.
The text points out that these
media campaigns deny the supposed change of Washington’s
aggressive anti-Cuban policy.
Meanwhile in Uruguay, an article
published by La Republica newspaper points out that provocation
and defamation against Cuba continue, which began since the very
beginning of its socialist revolution.
The newspaper highlights that Cuba
guarantees adequate health care to all of its citizens,
regardless of any factor, and helps other countries in this
sector.
