In its Thursday edition, Granma newspaper states that this revelation was made by journalist Ann Louise Bardach, in an analysis of the US-Cuba relations published by The Washington Post.

For three years now, the Grand Jury –in session in New Jersey- is in charge of this investigation, and has called several Cuban-Americans involved in these activities to appear in court.

Bardach is the same specialist on Cuban issues that also revealed in October, in an article published by slate.com, that a lawyer of the terrorist’s accomplices told her that this investigation was at a standstill.

The suspension was established “in order not to harm the tickets of McCain, the Díaz-Balarts and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen".

The reporter made public, by way of confidences from FBI investigators in Miami , the fact that the very same head of that office of the federal police destroyed Posada’s file in 2003, while Panamanian law was claiming his presence.

According to the criminal’s lawyer, Posada’s dossier has been handled “at the highest level” since his illegal entrance to US territory on board of the vessel Santrina, owned by terrorist Santiago Álvarez.

Posada has a long record as a terrorist, which includes several assassination attempts against Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro and the planning of the sabotage of a Cubana airliner in 1976, in which all 73 people on board were killed.

Among his countless criminal actions is the recruitment of the mercenaries who placed bombs in some Cuban tourist facilities, which resulted in the death of young Italian Fabio Di Celmo and 11 people wounded.
